Transportation Specialist

Job Summary:
Village Healthcare and Rehabilitation is seeking a skilled Driver to join our team. As a Driver, you will be responsible for transporting patients safely and efficiently to their destinations. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
• Securing passengers' wheelchairs to restraining devices to stabilize wheelchairs during trip
• Assisting disabled and/or elderly residents in and out of vehicle and in and out of buildings and doctor's offices when appropriate
• Assisting all departments in the delivery and pick-up of other related work items, i.e., x-rays, pharmaceuticals, medical records, mail drop off, etc., while adhering to HIPPA guidelines
• Cleaning and services vehicle
• Reporting all vehicle repairs, and/or any unsafe or hazardous situations immediately to supervisor
• Remaining flexible and available for special occasions and special schedules
• Using tact and understanding with facility personnel, residents, family members, and outside community contacts
Qualifications:
• Driver License, with clean driving record
• Previous experience working in a healthcare environment preferred
