Overview of Responsibilities:
The Safety and Security Specialist is responsible for the safeguarding and monitoring of access points, buildings, and facilities as designated by the organization.
Key responsibilities include:
- Monitoring and documenting items being transported on or off the premises by both employees and visitors.
- Conducting inspections of property, equipment, and vehicles within company grounds.
- Performing regular patrols of assigned areas, which may involve logging rounds through designated checkpoints.
- Identifying and reporting any acts of vandalism, theft, or threats to property, while taking appropriate safety measures when necessary.
- Assisting in the coordination of emergency response efforts and guiding emergency personnel to areas requiring assistance.
- Training new security personnel after successful completion of the probationary period.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Valid security guard registration (Guard Card).
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Possession of a valid state-issued driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Availability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with potential mandatory overtime.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Successful completion of an FAA background check.
Preferred:
- Experience in industrial security or a background in law enforcement/military.
