Position Overview: Security Specialist - Full Time

General Overview:
The role of the Security Specialist is crucial in maintaining a secure environment. This position involves monitoring an assigned area, enforcing organizational policies, and investigating incidents related to the facility. The Security Specialist is accountable to the Security Supervisor and plays a vital role in ensuring a safe and professional atmosphere for all personnel.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Deliver exceptional customer service to clients, associates, and facility staff.
  2. Conduct foot patrols of designated areas to ensure visibility and detect any unusual activities.
  3. Investigate and document maintenance and safety issues that could jeopardize the safety of clients, associates, or the public, including emergencies such as fires or evacuations.
  4. Maintain thorough and accurate daily administrative records and ensure all assigned equipment is in working order.
  5. Respond promptly to requests for assistance from supervisors or clients and complete various assignments as needed.
  6. Conduct investigations into security-related incidents, gather evidence, and prepare reports for management review.
  7. Verify that all individuals on company premises possess valid identification issued by the company.
  8. Support crowd management and assist emergency services during critical situations.

Additional Responsibilities:
Perform other related duties as necessary to support the security team.

Qualifications:
  1. A high school diploma or GED is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. Must obtain and maintain state Guard Certification as mandated by local regulations, along with any additional certifications requested by the client.
  3. Complete site-specific training within the first month of employment.
  4. Adhere to uniform and grooming standards at all times while on duty.
  5. Exhibit professionalism and maturity while providing high-quality customer service.
  6. Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and climb stairs as needed.
  7. Proficient in administrative tasks and data entry, with basic computer and report writing skills.
  8. Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  9. Ability to manage stressful situations and respond effectively to emergencies.
