Position Overview:
The Materials Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting manufacturing operations by overseeing inventory management, maintaining stock levels, and ensuring accurate inventory records. This position involves logistics support, receiving products into inventory, and delivering necessary materials to the production area.

The role also encompasses material handling responsibilities, utilizing equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts for efficient storage and movement of products.

Key Responsibilities:

Essential duties include, but are not limited to:

Facilitating the smooth production and distribution of goods by pulling orders from inventory, delivering materials and supplies to production areas, and staging finished products for final distribution.

  • Maintaining high accuracy in record-keeping and database management.
  • Contributing to the organized operation of stock and materials storage areas.
  • Managing inventory by identifying, labeling, and tracking materials and supplies, while reporting any shortages.
  • Locating materials and supplies by verifying items listed on pick lists.
  • Ensuring in-process inventory is maintained at work centers by delivering necessary items and fulfilling floor stock requirements.
  • Documenting materials and tracking units delivered and their respective locations.
  • Preparing materials for shipping by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing products.
  • Documenting product shipments by recording units dispatched.
  • Maintaining material-handling equipment through pre-use inspections and minor repairs.
  • Operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to facilitate the movement of materials.
  • Keeping inventory areas, loading zones, and machinery clean and organized.
  • Adhering to workplace safety regulations and protocols.
Technical Skills:
Familiarity with Dynamics 365 software is advantageous.
Proficient in using desktop copiers/scanners for document management.
Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite applications.

Interpersonal Skills:
Possesses an analytical mindset with a keen attention to detail.
Demonstrates outstanding organizational and problem-solving capabilities.
Exhibits excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Adept at managing multiple complex tasks concurrently.
Proficient in prioritizing and meeting various deadlines.
Exhibits strong time management abilities.

Work Environment:
This position operates within a warehouse setting.

Standard office equipment such as computers, printers, and photocopiers are routinely used, along with forklifts and pallet jacks.

Physical Requirements:
The role requires the ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb as necessary.

Employees must be capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds, with heavier weights managed using appropriate equipment.


Qualifications:
A high school diploma or GED is required.
A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are necessary.
Preferred candidates will have at least 1 year of experience in inventory control.
Previous experience operating a forklift or pallet jack is a plus.
