Job Title: Line Cook

Join El Monte Sagrado as a Line Cook and be part of a dynamic team that embodies the culture and spirit of New Mexico. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work collaboratively with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to prepare and cook menu items to the highest standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
  • Prepare food for service, including chopping vegetables, butchering meat, and preparing sauces.
  • Cook menu items in collaboration with other kitchen team members, ensuring that food is delivered simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion.

Requirements:
  • Current New Mexico Food Handler Certification is required.
  • Ability to work on your feet in a humid kitchen environment for eight hours or more.
  • Must be able to lift/push/reach for/carry 30+ pounds frequently.
  • Excellent verbal communication and ability to multitask.
  • 6 months to 1 year or equivalent combination of education and experience; high volume and/or fine dining cook experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience/training.
