Job Summary

As a Dismantling Helper at LKQ, you will play a crucial role in the processing department, assisting in the dismantling of vehicles and ensuring a safe and efficient work environment. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for automotive repair and a desire to learn and grow with a dynamic company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Dismantlers in the dismantling of vehicles, learning and completing the system of dismantling, tagging, and storing of all parts.
  • Work with Engine Dismantlers to learn engine dismantling techniques and procedures.
  • Comply with all safety standards and requirements to ensure a safe and hazard-free workplace.
  • Assume other duties as assigned by the Production Manager.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Background in body repair, mechanical, or previous dismantling experience.
  • Complete set of tools as needed to carry out duties.
  • Ability to follow instructions and accept constructive feedback.
  • Ability to deal tactfully with customers, co-workers, and the public.
  • Self-motivated, hard-working, and dependable individual.
  • Safety-conscious person with the ability to be adaptable and willing to perform duties beyond normal responsibilities.
