Geotechnical Internship Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Geotechnical Intern to join our team at ECS Florida, LLC. As a Geotechnical Intern, you will assist with various tasks related to geotechnical projects, including lab testing, drafting, and scheduling.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with performing lab testing and drafting boring logs and location diagrams
- Schedule drill rigs for geotechnical projects
- Obtain utility clearance for subsurface explorations
- Assist with the subsurface exploration program and prepare drilling instructions
- Perform boring and test pit layouts using conventional surveying and GPS
- Classify soil samples
- Perform hand augers to obtain subsurface information and soil samples
- Observe foundation or ground improvement installations
- Actively pursuing a Bachelor or Master degree in Civil Engineering, Geology, or related field
- Interest in how structures are supported and a desire to think outside the box
- Ability to provide suitable transportation for use on job sites (mileage will be reimbursed)
- Physical ability to carry multiple pounds and occasionally lift 85 pounds to waist height
