Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Psychiatric Technician to join our team at the California Correctional Institution. As a Psychiatric Technician, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality mental health care to patients in a correctional setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide basic level of general nursing and behavioral and psychiatric nursing care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure the delivery of appropriate and timely healthcare to patients.
  • Support daily healthcare operations and communicate effectively with patients and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Address the ongoing needs of patients and promote the efficient, appropriate, and cost-effective use of healthcare resources.
Requirements
  • Possession of a valid license to practice as a Psychiatric Technician issued by the BVNPTE.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced correctional environment and maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
