Job Title: Psychiatric Technician (Safety)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Psychiatric Technician (Safety) to join our team at the California State Prison, Los Angeles County. As a Psychiatric Technician, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and support to individuals with mental health needs. Your expertise and dedication will contribute to the success of our healthcare team and the well-being of our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide basic level of general nursing and behavioral and psychiatric nursing care to patients in accordance with the Mental Health Program Guide, policies and procedures, and regulations.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure the delivery of appropriate and timely healthcare to patients.
  • Support the care team for daily healthcare operations and communicate effectively with patients and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Address the ongoing needs of patients and work with the healthcare team to promote the efficient, appropriate, and cost-effective use of healthcare resources.
Requirements:
  • Possession of a valid license to practice as a Psychiatric Technician issued by the BVNPTE.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
