Job Summary

The Kroc Center Hawaii is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aquatic Safety Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our aquatics department, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of our guests while providing a clean and enjoyable experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide life-guarding services, including rescues and emergency response
  • Monitor pool activities to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with safety protocols
  • Enforce pool rules and regulations, and provide excellent customer service to guests
  • Assist with day-to-day pool operations, including water testing and maintenance
  • Participate in training and professional development to maintain and improve skills
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Certification
  • First Aid and CPR for the Professional Rescuer certification
  • At least 2 years of lifeguard experience or 700 hours of lifeguard experience at the Kroc Center Hawaii
Preferred Qualifications
  • Swim lesson instruction experience
  • Previous lifeguard supervisory experience
  • Previous customer service experience
Working Conditions

The Aquatic Safety Specialist will work in a fast-paced environment, frequently exposed to outdoor weather conditions, and may be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Equipment and Tools

The Aquatic Safety Specialist will be required to use rescue equipment, including rescue hooks, tubes, and buoys, as well as pool maintenance equipment.
