As a Senior Software Engineer within the Technical Operations team, you will play a pivotal role in executing and overseeing a diverse range of operational processes, collaborating closely with Infrastructure, Development, and Trade Support teams on a daily basis. Your responsibilities will include designing and automating processes related to application deployment, hardware provisioning, and the monitoring of our trading systems. Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance and optimize existing processes, pipelines, and systems for trading, research, development, deployment, configuration management, and monitoring to boost technological and trading efficiency.
  • Design and develop applications that facilitate real-time trading operations, monitoring, automation processes, and front-end systems.
  • Simplify complex systems and minimize human intervention by creating tools and automating tasks.
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain both internal and external applications.
  • Automate container-based deployment pipelines and continuous integration systems.
  • Collaborate closely with core development, support, and trading teams to deliver fixes, new features, and comprehensive solutions.
  • Guide and mentor the next generation of software engineers in Technical Operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • 7+ years of experience in DevOps or software development.
  • Proven experience in software development using C#, with a focus on automation and integration; familiarity with Python is a plus.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, with experience in managing databases such as MariaDB and MSSQL.
  • Extensive experience in building CI/CD pipelines, preferably with TeamCity.
  • Expertise in the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Linux systems.
  • Hands-on experience with version control systems, preferably GIT.
  • Experience with artifact management.
  • Familiarity with Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, and public/private cloud infrastructure is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a detail-oriented and inquisitive nature.
  • A strong desire to solve problems and automate tasks.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve issues promptly and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
  • Mental flexibility to adapt based on new information and stakeholder feedback.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and probabilistic thinking.
  • Experience in the trading industry is preferred.
