About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Part-Time Sales Associate to join our team at Wayfair. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing an exceptional customer experience, driving sales, and contributing to the success of our retail store.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide authentic and friendly customer service, ensuring a positive experience for every customer.
  • Drive sales by asking questions, understanding customer needs, and providing product options that meet their requirements.
  • Demonstrate confidence in closing sales and educating customers on various purchasing options.
  • Assist walk-ins on the sales floor and in the design studio as needed.
  • Be an expert in store and online services, including credit, financing, warranty, installation, and delivery.
  • Participate in operational aspects of the store, including processing new products, floor sets, replenishment, and general upkeep.
  • Exemplify a positive and professional attitude with customers and team members.
  • Bring innovative ideas and solutions to improve team operations.
Requirements
  • 1+ years of retail sales experience, preferably in a design-related environment.
  • Passion for great customer service and a drive to exceed sales targets.
  • Strong organization, self-motivation, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a team sales environment.
  • Technical acumen to learn necessary software, with proficiency in Google and Microsoft Office applications preferred.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequent standing, walking, talking, and hearing.
  • Frequent handling, lifting, and reaching.
  • Occasional sitting, climbing, and balancing.
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Compensation starting at $16.50 per hour, with increases based on relevant experience and substantial quarterly bonuses.
