Inventory Control Specialist

The District Auditor position at GPM Investments is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of physical inventories and generating department audit reports. The role involves reconciling computer data with physical counts taken and reporting on errors found. Additionally, the Auditor works with each department to reduce errors in inventory accuracy.
Responsibilities:
- Perform front-line accounting reviews at store level during retail inventory audits, collaborating with District Managers and Store Managers to identify store issues.
- Develop a preliminary audit schedule for the district, including neighboring store rotation.
- Assist Store Managers with invoice concerns, store organization, price adjustments, and abnormalities discovered in the system.
- Conduct visual checklists at each store, detailing store conditions, maintenance issues, safety concerns, marketing promotions, and loss prevention awareness.
- Complete 15-20 retail inventory audits monthly, including lottery, importing data to the computer for processing, and completing audit paperwork.
- Achieve established average per hour (APH) counting goals while ensuring accuracy and integrity of the data collected.
- Work in various environments with potential exposure to cold and heat.
- Relate information clearly and accurately, verbally and in written form, in a positive manner that yields cooperation and builds partnerships.
- Take initiative to explore and suggest new approaches that can impact quality and/or quantity of job performance and organizational effectiveness.
- Ability to complete other job-related duties as assigned by Management.
Qualifications:
- Frequent bending, counting on knees, and moving product up to 25lbs.
- Repetitive motions requiring use of both wrists and hands using counting machines.
- Proficient in computer operations, including Microsoft Office and Open Office applications.
- Ability to travel, including occasional overnight stays.
- Reliable transportation to perform audits throughout the assigned market.
