**Job Summary**

Argonne National Laboratory is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Janitor. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our employees and visitors.

**Key Responsibilities**

• Clean and maintain all areas of the laboratory, including offices, laboratories, and common areas

• Sweep, dust, and mop floors, as well as clean and sanitize surfaces and equipment

• Empty trash and recyclables, and restock supplies as needed

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs and cleaning windows

• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, such as scrubbing machines and buffers

• Collaborate with other team members to ensure a smooth and efficient cleaning process

• Maintain a high level of attention to detail and ensure that all areas are clean and safe

• Participate in ongoing training and development to improve skills and knowledge

**Requirements**

• One year of previous janitorial or custodial experience

• Excellent attendance and punctuality

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time

• High school diploma or equivalent required
