Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodial Worker to join our team at Argonne National Laboratory. As a Custodial Worker, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our employees and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and dusting of floors, walls, and surfaces.
  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, such as scrubbing machines and buffers.
  • Restock and replenish cleaning supplies and materials.
  • Dispose of trash and recyclables in a responsible and environmentally friendly manner.
  • Assist with special events and projects as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year of previous janitorial or custodial experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
