Position Overview and Responsibilities
We are seeking an Electrician to join our Facilities Operations team. The Electrician will be tasked with the inspection, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of electrical power systems and equipment, including distribution systems.

Compensation starts at $28.57 per hour, with potential increases to $33.18 after a successful probation period and $37.71 with 10 years of relevant experience.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and repair electrical equipment, distribution systems, controls, and signal equipment;
  • Conduct inspections and tests on electrical lighting, signal communication, and power circuit equipment;
  • Identify defects in wiring, switches, motors, and other electrical components using appropriate testing instruments;
  • Examine and test electrical systems to locate faults such as blown fuses, short circuits, and loose connections;
  • Replace faulty components including switches, sockets, plugs, and fuses;
  • Renew circuits by isolating defective wiring and replacing it with new wiring;
  • Replace defective parts such as gears and bearings;
  • Maintain and test emergency generators;
  • Respond to and troubleshoot elevator issues;
  • Repair and calibrate electronically operated controls and devices;
  • Overtime may be required, including after-hours and weekend emergencies.

This is a full-time position eligible for benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage after a waiting period.

Qualifications
  • A minimum of seven years of experience in electrical work is required.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical principles and their application in maintenance and repair of electrical systems.
  • Proficiency in using testing equipment such as Volt-Ammeters and multi-meters is essential.
  • Familiarity with regulatory codes and requirements is preferred.
  • Willingness to work overtime when necessary.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
