Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a communication link between the Wound Specialist Physician and nursing personnel.
- Contribute to the formulation and success of the Wound Care Program and its objectives.
- Engage in staff development initiatives and responsibilities.
- Facilitate educational programs for staff and residents.
- Assist in the execution and monitoring of compliance with policies, procedures, and standards in alignment with corporate and regulatory guidelines.
- Collaborate with the Interdisciplinary Team to address all facets of care aimed at promoting effective wound healing.
- Deliver direct care for residents, including assessment, treatment, and follow-up for wound management as prescribed by the physician.
- Help implement tailored treatment plans for each assigned resident.
- Maintain open communication with physicians regarding resident care and assist regulatory inspectors as directed by the Director of Clinical Services.
- Innovate and provide responsible healthcare through the development and application of new ideas and processes to enhance outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required. Current Wound Care and CPR certifications are mandatory. A minimum of one (1) year of experience in Wound Care is required, with two (2) years preferred.
- A valid, unencumbered nursing license (RN or LPN) in the state of practice is essential.
- The ideal candidate will be qualified, compassionate, and committed to excellence in care.
