Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Job Summary

Oakpark Health & Rehab is seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in ensuring patients receive quality care while providing a caring and compassionate attitude.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating, while promoting independence and dignity.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, and heart rate, and report any changes to the healthcare team.
  • Administer medications and document all medication administration in the patient's chart, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Keep patient rooms clean and tidy, maintaining a safe and comfortable environment.
  • Help patients with mobility, including using walkers or wheelchairs, and positioning them in beds or chairs, promoting safety and comfort.
  • Record all care provided to patients accurately and timely, maintaining a thorough and detailed record.
  • Report any changes in patient conditions to the healthcare team, ensuring prompt attention and care.
  • Respond to patient calls in a timely manner, providing prompt and compassionate care.
Requirements:
  • Must possess a current CNA certification, demonstrating expertise and knowledge in patient care.
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, indicating a strong educational foundation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare staff, promoting clear and concise communication.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, standing, and walking for extended periods, demonstrating physical stamina and endurance.
  • Must be compassionate and patient with all types of patients, providing empathetic and understanding care.
  • Experience in long-term care or acute care is preferred, indicating a strong background in patient care.
