**Job Overview:** Vascular Imaging Specialist
Northwestern Memorial Healthcare is a leading healthcare organization seeking a skilled Vascular Imaging Specialist to perform high-quality diagnostic sonography procedures.
**Estimated Salary Range:** $70,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review patient history and physician's orders to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment.
- Educate patients about procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure clear understanding and cooperation.
- Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications according to established protocols.
- Maintain ongoing awareness of patient condition and report/respond to any changes or concerns.
- Prepare equipment and supplies for sonography procedures.
- Select optimal exposure factors and imaging parameters for high-quality results.
- Implement safety standards and conduct regular quality control checks on equipment.
- Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, reporting issues as necessary.
- Position patients and perform imaging procedures with precision and accuracy.
- Analyze results to identify potential image quality issues.
- Take corrective action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patients and repeating procedures.
- Enter, transmit, and report scan results accurately and efficiently.
Qualifications:
- Accredited Ultrasound Sonography program graduate.
- ARDMS certification as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer.
- BLS for healthcare providers.
- Preferred: One year experience in vascular imaging.
