As a vital member of the Security team at Madison Square Garden Sports Corp., your primary responsibility will be to uphold all organizational and venue policies, ensuring a safe, secure, and welcoming atmosphere for guests and staff alike.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the daily operations of the Security department during events, including live performances and family shows.
- Conduct regular inspections of the premises to safeguard facilities, personnel, and visitors.
- Monitor surveillance systems and manage access control to maintain security integrity.
- Perform guest screening and bag checks in compliance with industry standards to ensure safety.
- Act as a security escort and respond promptly to security-related incidents during operational hours.
- Manage crowd control effectively both inside and outside the venue, preventing unauthorized sales of merchandise and tickets.
- Engage with guests to foster exceptional visitor experiences.
Job Requirements:
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Physical capability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Possession of a valid NY State Security License and a minimum of three years of experience in security roles within large venues or law enforcement.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to perform under pressure.
- Proficient writing skills and familiarity with incident management systems.
- Capability to navigate multiple staircases and remain mobile for at least four consecutive hours.
- Commitment to enforcing policies with fairness and consistency.
