Job Overview

We strive to maintain seamless operations for our clients' POS systems, minimizing downtime and enhancing productivity.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Education and Certifications:

  • High school diploma or GED (minimum requirement)
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred)
  • Relevant industry certifications such as:
  • CompTIA A+
  • CompTIA Network+
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
  • Microsoft Certified: Windows 10 (or latest OS)
  • Vendor-specific POS certifications (e.g., NCR, Verifone, Ingenico)

Technical Proficiencies:

1. POS Systems:

  • Installation, configuration, and maintenance of POS hardware and software
  • Troubleshooting hardware and software issues related to POS systems
  • Executing software updates and upgrades
  • Programming and configuring payment terminals
  • Knowledge of various POS devices to recommend suitable software and hardware solutions

2. Computer Hardware:

  • Building, repairing, and upgrading desktop and laptop systems
  • Installing and configuring peripherals (printers, scanners, etc.)
  • Diagnosing and resolving hardware-related issues
  • Knowledge of various computer devices to recommend appropriate software and hardware solutions

3. Software:

  • Installing, configuring, and updating operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux)
  • Troubleshooting software conflicts and issues
  • Implementing and maintaining security and antivirus software

4. Networking:

  • Setting up and maintaining local area networks (LANs)
  • Configuring routers, switches, and firewalls
  • Troubleshooting network connectivity problems
  • Understanding of TCP/IP, DHCP, and DNS protocols

5. Mobile Devices:

  • Configuring and troubleshooting mobile POS systems
  • Providing support for tablets and smartphones used in business operations
