Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Armed Security Officer to join our team at General Security Services Corporation. As a key member of our security services team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch security services to our clients, ensuring their assets and people are protected and safe.

Key Responsibilities
  • Security Services Delivery: Provide security services to clients, including enforcing security policies and procedures, monitoring alarm systems, and maintaining access control for visitors and employees.
  • Site Patrols: Conduct regular patrols of client sites, checking for unsafe conditions, hazards, and security violations.
  • Emergency Response: Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations, following Post Orders and the Facility Security Plan.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Generate clear and concise written reports of shift activities and maintain accurate records.
  • Client Interaction: Interact professionally with client personnel, vendors, contractors, and members of the public, providing excellent customer service.
Requirements
  • Experience: At least 1 year of certifiable previous armed experience, such as law enforcement, military, armed patrol, or armed security experience.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Certifications: Minnesota Law Enforcement POST (Peace Officer Standards and Training) eligible or equivalent.
  • Physical and Mental Requirements: Ability to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Driver's License: Valid driver's license and clear driving record.
  • Industry Experience: 1 or more years of experience in the security, law enforcement, or military industries.

You will be required to work independently and as part of a team, using your skills and experience to ensure the safety and security of our clients' assets and people.
