Job Title: Palliative Care Medical Director

Principle Choice Home Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Palliative Care Medical Director to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in providing clinical leadership and ensuring the highest quality of care for our patients.

Job Summary:

The Palliative Care Medical Director will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating resident care policies and procedures that reflect current standards of practice. You will collaborate with Home Health leadership, staff, and other practitioners to identify, evaluate, and address medical and clinical concerns and issues that affect client care, medical care, or quality of life.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement resident care policies and procedures that reflect current standards of practice.
  • Collaborate with Home Health leadership, staff, and other practitioners to identify, evaluate, and address medical and clinical concerns and issues.
  • Provide education and information to staff, practitioners, clients, families, and others.
  • Resolve issues related to continuity of care and transfer of medical information between the home health and other care settings.
  • Document progress notes with signatures on any patients that have been overseen by the Medical Director.
  • Sign and date all orders, such as medications, admission orders, and re-admission orders, and face-to-face (for patients referred by the Medical Director).
  • Attend case conferences, once per quarter.
  • Review, update, and sign policies in relation to PCH.
  • Order management for vaccines.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited medical school.
  • Active Oklahoma Medical license in good standing.
  • 1-2 years recent Home Health nursing experience.
  • Active Oklahoma driver's license.
  • Current car insurance and registration.
  • Required vehicle.
  • Medical knowledge, patience, compassion, kindness, critical thinking skills, knowledge of infection control practices, stamina, and physical endurance, observational skills, knowledge of occupational hazards and safety rules, communication skills, leadership, empathy.
