Job Summary

We're seeking a skilled Beverage Server to join our team at Ameristar Casino Resort Spa. As a key member of our hospitality team, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring their experience is nothing short of amazing.

Responsibilities
  • Familiarize yourself with our extensive cocktail menu and prices to ensure accurate ordering and expediting of beverage requests.
  • Suggest and upsell cocktails to enhance the guest experience.
  • Anticipate and meet the needs of our guests, ensuring their requests are met promptly and with a smile.
  • Serve tables in the order of arrival, with exceptions made in common sense situations or as directed by your supervisor.
  • Inform your supervisor of any critical supply or service issues that may arise.
  • Complete assigned side work and daily tasks to maintain a clean and efficient work environment.
  • Practice and promote safety rules and regulations, encouraging your colleagues to do the same.
  • Conduct yourself in a manner that reflects a positive and professional image.
  • Greet guests with a warm smile and a pleasant disposition.
  • Keep your workstation clean, including ashtrays, coin wrappers, and other areas.
  • Follow all cash handling procedures as outlined in the Food & Beverage Manual.
  • Adhere to the calling order when ordering cocktails.
Requirements
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Excellent customer service skills to provide a memorable experience for our guests.
  • Ability to lift and carry a tray of beverages weighing up to 15 pounds.
  • One year of experience as a cocktail server in a fast-paced environment is preferred.
  • Cash handling experience is essential.
  • Must be able to successfully complete a TIPS (responsible service of alcohol) training class.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Colorado Support Gaming License.
