Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Roadway Foreman to join our team at Southland Holdings. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the execution of roadway projects, ensuring compliance with project plans and specifications, and leading a team of skilled professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of roadway work, including project planning, execution, and quality control.
  • Direct and supervise a team of earthwork operators, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
  • Develop and implement project schedules, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget.
  • Collaborate with project engineers and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality standards.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues, ensuring project continuity and success.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5+ years' experience in heavy civil construction, with a focus on roadway projects.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing projects and teams.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles, including scheduling, budgeting, and quality control.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team of professionals.
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret project plans, specifications, and schedules.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software, including project management tools and construction estimating software.
