We are seeking a skilled and motivated Paint Finishing Technician to contribute to the evolution of aviation.

Key Responsibilities:
The role encompasses a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Assisting the Paint Department in preparing components for painting.
  • Executing sanding, masking, and overall preparation of all products slated for painting.
  • Utilizing precision measuring instruments such as scales, micrometers, calipers, and depth gauges.
  • Employing and maintaining provided tools to ensure high-quality execution of tasks.
  • Setting up and operating painting methods for detailed components using spray equipment.
  • Interpreting blueprints and following engineering plans while accurately completing work orders.
  • Adhering to all regulatory standards concerning paint usage on the production floor.
  • Conducting self-verification procedures on work orders and necessary documentation.
  • Supporting the Foreign Object Damage (FOD) Prevention Program.
  • Providing backup assistance for assembly tasks to achieve production goals.
  • Completing required training to maintain job efficiency.
  • Complying with housekeeping, quality, FOD, and safety protocols.
  • Assisting other Aurora Flight Sciences locations as needed.
  • Performing additional tasks as directed by site leadership.

Minimum Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of geometric tolerances.
  • Proficiency in using computers and related technology.
  • Must qualify as a US Person.

Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with the following will be favored:

  • Experience in manufacturing and related documentation.
  • Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings adhering to ASME Y 14.5 M standards.
  • Vocational or technical training related to painting in the aviation or aerospace sector.
  • Experience with specification-driven procedures in the aviation/aerospace field.

Physical Requirements:
Candidates must be able to:

  • Work various shifts including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.
  • Operate in a manufacturing environment while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Be flexible with extended hours as required.
  • Lift and transport items weighing up to 35 pounds; consistently stand, stoop, crawl, bend, crouch, climb, and kneel.

Compensation:
Salary Range (Annualized USD):
Minimum: $31,000.00 to $55,000.00
Maximum: $36,000.00 to $64,000.00
