Job Summary

The Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program Director position is a full-time core faculty member of the RSCC Diagnostic Medical Sonography program. As a key member of the Health Sciences department, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, evaluating, and revising the program's master plan of education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program's curriculum design, including course descriptions, requirements, and evaluation systems.
  • Coordinate the development, implementation, and revision process for the program's curriculum design.
  • Prepare and maintain the program budget within established parameters.
  • Oversee the evaluation, maintenance, selection, and purchase of educational materials and equipment.
  • Counsel and advise prospective and current students.
  • Serve as a liaison between the program and affiliates/community stakeholders.
  • Prepare annual reports for the Dean, college representatives, and other agencies as needed.
Requirements
  • Minimum of Bachelor of Science degree.
  • Documented experience in supervision, instruction, evaluation, student guidance, and educational theories and techniques.
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a registered sonographer in the professional sonography field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree or higher.
