- Assist Dental Hygienist: Assist the dental hygienist during oral exams, teeth cleanings, and other dental procedures.
- Take and Develop Dental X-Rays: Take and develop dental x-rays as directed by the dental hygienist or dentist.
- Maintain Sterilization Protocols: Maintain and sterilize dental instruments, equipment, and treatment areas.
- Educate Patients: Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide post-treatment instructions.
- Manage Patient Records: Manage patient records and update dental charts accurately.
- Schedule Appointments: Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring a seamless patient experience.
- Perform Administrative Tasks: Perform basic administrative tasks, such as answering phones and managing patient paperwork.
- Experience: At least 1 year of Hygiene/Dental Assisting experience.
- X-Ray Certification: X-ray certification required.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification as a Dental Assistant is a plus.
- Skills: Proven experience as a Dental Hygiene Assistant or Dental Assistant is preferred. Knowledge of dental instruments and procedures. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills. Strong interpersonal and communication abilities. Ability to work well within a team and collaborate effectively with dental professionals. Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a sterile environment.
