The role of Senior Production Engineer involves working within a team focused on conventional, waterflood, and CO2 flood properties, under the guidance of the Production Engineering Manager. This position is pivotal in ensuring the efficiency and reliability of production operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaboration: Engage with various teams including Operations, Reservoir Engineering, and Facilities to implement safe and cost-effective well repair and optimization initiatives.
  • Performance Monitoring: Conduct surveillance of production and injection metrics to uncover opportunities for enhancement.
  • Economic Evaluation: Assess well repair strategies and enhancement possibilities, analyzing associated costs and success probabilities to determine economic viability.
  • Project Recommendations: Partner with Operations and Facilities to identify and propose projects aimed at cost reduction and reliability improvements.
  • Failure Analysis: Identify wells with high failure rates and implement necessary actions to extend their operational lifespan.
  • Technical Design: Design and optimize artificial lift systems, including Rod Lift, ESP, Gas Lift, and Plunger Lift for both new and existing wells.
  • Data Management: Develop and maintain surveillance datasets and tools essential for optimizing production workflows.
  • Training: Provide training to engineering and operational staff on surveillance and optimization methodologies.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from a recognized institution.
  • Experience in production engineering and operations within upstream energy sectors, particularly in the Permian Basin.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications and E&P software tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in managing large datasets.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
