Job Opportunity

South College is seeking a highly qualified individual to join our team as a core faculty member in the Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) program. As a key member of our faculty, you will contribute to the development and implementation of our OTD program, focusing on transforming the lives of our students and the communities we serve.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and teach courses in occupational therapy, including clinical practice and research methods.
  • Contribute to the development of the OTD program, including curriculum design and implementation.
  • Collaborate with faculty and clinical partners to ensure high-quality education and training in occupational therapy.
  • Provide academic advising and mentorship to students.
  • Participate in program assessment and evaluation.

Requirements:

  • Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) degree or an academic doctorate in a related field.
  • Active Occupational Therapy license or eligibility for licensure in the State of Georgia.
  • Prior experience teaching in an ACOTE-accredited Doctor of Occupational Therapy program.
  • A minimum of five years of full-time (or equivalent) post-licensure clinical practice.
  • Understanding of higher education and contemporary clinical practice appropriate for leadership in occupational therapy education.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm for teaching and working in an inclusive team environment.

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of ACOTE accreditation standards.
  • Prior experience in OTD admissions.
  • Evidence of an active research and scholarly agenda.
  • ABPTS Board certification or advanced professional certification.
  • Strong organizational and technology skills, and a willingness to adapt to changing assignments, multiple priorities, and deadlines.
