About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SBA Sales Manager to join our team at CrossFirst Bank. As a key member of our Commercial Banking team, you will be responsible for leading our SBA Business Development Officers and driving the growth of our SBA loan production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a strategic vision for our SBA Business Development team, ensuring alignment with the bank's overall goals and objectives.
  • Lead and motivate a high-performing team, providing coaching, guidance, and support to ensure their success.
  • Collaborate with internal banking teams and external centers of influence to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activity to develop effective marketing strategies and stay ahead of the competition.
  • Provide expert guidance on government business lending products and programs, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their financial needs and providing tailored solutions to meet their goals.
  • Manage the loan documentation and review process, ensuring all activities are compliant with the Bank's procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and analyze operational effectiveness, identifying areas for improvement and implementing process changes as needed.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the Bank's risk appetite and loan approval process, ensuring all team members are well-informed and aligned.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in the financial services industry, with a minimum of 7 years in SBA sales management.
  • Expert knowledge of SBA standard operating procedures, small business credit process, laws, and regulations.
  • Demonstrated success in sales management and leading a team, with a proven track record of driving growth and achieving goals.
  • Experience in SBA products and a strong understanding of the bank's risk appetite and loan approval process.
  • Ability to analyze complex data, financial information, and market trends to inform strategic decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and external partners.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or Business, or equivalent work experience.
