Radiochemistry and Molecular Imaging Postdoctoral Research Fellow

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our team at the University of Louisville, Department of Radiology, in the laboratory of Dr. Haixun Guo. The successful candidate will be part of a 5-year NIH-funded project focused on developing novel Positron Emission Tomography (PET) agents for molecular imaging of the tumor microenvironment.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research experiments on the development of novel PET agents and their applications for imaging the tumor microenvironment in animal models.
- Analyze experimental data and update research notebooks.
- Read literature relevant to research and training objectives.
- Prepare manuscripts and written reports.
- Present research findings at group and local meetings.
- PhD or PhD/MD degree in radiochemistry, molecular imaging, nuclear medicine, or a related biomedical field.
- Previous experience in peptide/protein conjugation, immunology, pharmacology, in vivo PET tumor imaging, or mouse tumor model is an asset.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Independent ability to design and execute experiments.
- Ability to understand and communicate in English.
- Project planning and execution.
- Manuscript preparation of research findings.
- In vivo experiments (rodent models).
- Basic molecular biological, biochemical, and immunological assays.
- Statistical analysis, data interpretation, and troubleshooting.
