Precision Treatment and Eating Disorder Postdoctoral Fellow
Job Summary:The University of Louisville is seeking a highly motivated and experienced postdoctoral fellow to join our team in the Eating Anxiety Treatment (EAT) lab. The successful candidate will work closely with Dr. Levinson to develop and implement a new precision treatment for eating disorders, focusing on individual treatment mechanisms and their impact on public health outcomes, disease burden, medical comorbidities, and social determinants of health.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and execute research experiments to investigate the effectiveness of precision treatment for eating disorders
- Analyze experimental data and update research notebooks to ensure accurate and reliable results
- Stay up-to-date with relevant literature and training objectives to inform research and treatment approaches
- Prepare manuscripts and written reports for publication and presentation
- Present research findings at group and local meetings, and attend seminars to stay current with industry developments
- Train students and technicians in research methods and techniques
- PhD or PhD/MD degree in a relevant field, such as psychology, neuroscience, or medicine
- Strong research background and experience in eating disorder treatment and precision medicine
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders
The postdoctoral fellow will work in a lab-based environment, with occasional exposure to infectious materials, radiation, and chemicals. The position requires balancing to prevent falling or erratic movement, and moderate lifting or carrying of 26-50 lbs.
