About the Position

Petroplan is a leading EPC contractor specializing in the design and construction of utility and industrial process infrastructure. As an experienced On-Site QA/QC Manager, you will oversee quality assurance and control processes throughout the project lifecycle.

Job Description

The On-Site QA/QC Manager is responsible for implementing and managing all quality assurance and quality control activities during engineering, design, procurement, and construction phases. This includes ensuring that all work complies with applicable procedures, policies, and project-specific requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversight of the project's Quality Management System.
  • Serving as the primary QA/QC contact with the client, authorized to address and resolve quality matters.
  • Review and approval of inspection and test plans, procedures, and method statements in coordination with the Construction Manager.
  • Ensuring all installations meet contract specifications and approved submittals.
  • Conducting and overseeing inspections and tests throughout all stages as per the quality plan and contract requirements.
  • Collaboration with Construction Managers to enforce quality system requirements and conduct internal quality audits.
  • Identification and reporting of non-conformances, issuing and managing Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) as required.
  • Ensuring availability of quality audit findings, relevant procedures, work instructions, and standards at necessary site locations.
  • Driving corrective and preventive actions for identified non-conformances.
  • Organization and facilitation of quality-related training sessions as needed.
  • Management of inspection, measuring, and testing equipment, ensuring adherence to quality system procedures.
  • Oversight of the on-site testing laboratory and its personnel.
  • Monitoring subcontractor performance to ensure compliance with project quality requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
  • 10-20 years of QA/QC experience in electrical substation or similar facility construction, startup, and operation.
  • Proven ability to represent EPC contractors in the development, implementation, and monitoring of quality systems and processes to meet stringent project requirements.
Location and Compensation

This position is based at the project site in Adelanto, CA, for the duration of the project. The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000-$180,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
