We are seeking a skilled Mechanic/Technician to join our team at MCR Hotels. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's engineering and maintenance operations.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine property and equipment repairs and preventative maintenance to ensure the safety and comfort of our guests and associates.
- Communicate effectively with guests and colleagues to resolve maintenance issues and provide excellent customer service.
- Conduct daily rounds to identify and report any problems or issues.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed.
- Use the Lockout/Tagout system to ensure safe maintenance practices.
- Respond to maintenance orders and fulfill work orders in a timely manner.
- Anticipate guests' service needs and provide proactive solutions to ensure their satisfaction.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; one year of college or trade school equivalent in a mechanical, electrical, and/or technical discipline preferred.
- Valid locksmith license required, qualified under the NYC Admin Codes to 20-301.
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Tech in a hotel, hospital, or apartment environment a plus.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 pounds regularly.
- Ability to bend, squat, and lift up to 75 pounds regularly.
- Ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for an extended period.
