Job Title: Diesel Mechanic Technician

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team at Ryder System. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance, diagnosing complex mechanical and electronic problems, and completing detailed mechanical inspections and repairs.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform standard vehicle maintenance and preventive maintenance tasks
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electronic problems
  • Complete detailed mechanical inspections and repairs
  • Interact with customers/drivers to determine the nature of complaints
  • Utilize key functions of Shop Management System and electronic documentation
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or technical certification, post-secondary degree, or technical certifications preferred
  • Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
  • Three (3) years or more relevant work experience preferred
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A, preferred
Additional Requirements:
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience with mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy duty and medium duty equipment
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply knowledge of computer skills: PC, Windows, mouse, etc.
