Cyient, a global engineering and technology solutions company, is seeking an Experienced Reliability and Maintainability Expert to join our Reliability & Maintainability (R&M) Engineering team. As a key functional discipline, R&M Engineering supports the development of commercial airplanes for optimal performance, lifecycle economics, and compliance to safety and airworthiness requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply state-of-the-art reliability and maintainability engineering design, modeling, and analysis principles to design, certify, and support commercial airplanes.
- Use modeling, simulation, and data analytics methodologies and tools, including statistical and probabilistic analyses, to support airplane product development and support lifecycle.
- Collaborate with functional design groups to determine program technical performance measures, such as schedule reliability, airplane operational availability, and maintenance cost.
- Support design for reliability and safety, including reliability requirements validation and verification, reliability requirements allocation to suppliers, failure modes, rates, effects, propagation, and detection analysis, architecture and operational provisions, safety and certification analysis, certification support, reliability and durability testing.
- Interact with airplane system suppliers, business partners, airline customers, airplane development program leaders, and functional management to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements
- Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry, and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
- Experience with propulsion or airplane systems, reliability engineering, fault tree analysis, commercial airplane certification, and skills in FAA certification, fault tree analysis, Microsoft Project Schedule, project management, reliability and maintainability engineering, safety, and verification and validation (V&V).
