Job SummaryWe are seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented students to join our team as interns in the Security Administration series. As a student trainee, you will have the opportunity to gain marketable developmental experience in counterintelligence and insider threat, industrial security, personnel security, security training, and other DCSA core mission and support areas.
Key Responsibilities- Interact with security personnel and other staff regarding issues or other developments in specific cases.
- Utilize risk management principles in the analysis, selection, and application of effective security countermeasures.
- Provide investigative support and assist in achieving the goals of the assigned program.
- Determine required resources, length, breadth, and scope of assignment, and ensure work is efficiently accomplished.
- Collaborate with integrated teams of security and counterintelligence professionals.
- Must be a US citizen.
- Selective Service Requirement: Males born after must be registered for Selective Service.
- Must be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program with a full-time course load at time of application and in the spring semester prior to the summer program, with an expected graduation date of October 2025 or later.
- Must have and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale.
- Students accepted to the internship program must send an official transcript with spring 2025 semester/quarter grades to Student Programs prior to onboarding.
- Students who successfully complete the program may be eligible for non-competitive conversion to a permanent position effective after graduation if all requirements have been met.
- To qualify at the GG-05 pay level: You must be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate degree program with a full-time course load at time of application and in the spring semester prior to the summer program, with an expected graduation date of October 2025 or later.
- To qualify for the GG-07 pay level: You must be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program with a full-time course load at time of application with an expected graduation date of May 2025 or earlier, or be enrolled in an accredited graduate degree program with a full-time course load at time of application and in the spring semester prior to the summer program, with an expected graduation date of October 2025 or later.
All applicants must submit college or university unofficial transcripts as proof of enrollment in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program, current enrollment in a full-time course load, and to confirm GPA requirement. Newly enrolled freshmen will be required to also provide high school transcripts to confirm GPA requirements.
