Legal Medical Document Manager

The Forum Group is hiring a Part-Time Medical File Clerk to support our medical team in managing and maintaining medical records. As a skilled professional, you will be responsible for organizing and maintaining accurate and complete medical records, retrieving records from healthcare providers, and ensuring compliance with relevant privacy laws.
Key Responsibilities:- Organize and maintain medical records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Retrieve medical records from various healthcare providers and document them accurately.
- Assist with scanning, digitizing, and archiving medical records for electronic storage.
- Comply with relevant privacy laws, including HIPAA and any applicable legal regulations.
- Maintain filing systems for medical records, ensuring easy access and retrieval.
- Prepare case files with required medical documentation and ensure records are up to date.
- Perform other administrative tasks as needed.
- Previous experience in a legal setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, legal processes, and confidentiality requirements (HIPAA) is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Proficiency in computer applications (e.g., MS Office, case management software, electronic medical record systems).
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain strict confidentiality.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced legal environment.
$50,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on experience.
