Key Responsibilities:
As a Retail Book Specialist, you will play a vital role in our Books, Media, and Art sections within our retail stores and warehouse. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Sorting and organizing books, media, and art items to maintain a well-stocked and tidy department.
  • Photographing and creating descriptive cards for art pieces.
  • Assisting with donations, merchandising, and maintaining cleanliness.
  • Sorting items based on specified criteria.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Experience in retail, particularly with books and/or art.

Required Skills:
Applicants should demonstrate:
  • Mobility to perform various physical tasks, including bending and lifting up to forty (40) pounds.
  • In-depth knowledge of book, media, and art categories.
  • Familiarity with popular authors and artists.
  • Proficiency in using computers for generating description cards and conducting research.
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision and adapt to a flexible schedule.
