About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Field Engineer to join our team at Gray Construction. As a Field Engineer, you will play a critical role in the success of our projects, working closely with our Site Managers and Project Managers to ensure that our construction sites are running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site Management: Assist Site Managers in the layout of building items, procurement of construction materials, and execution of purchase orders.
  • Quality Control: Perform on-site material placed surveys, ensure quantities in place are accurate, and report weekly or as directed by the Site Manager.
  • Safety Management: Assist Site Managers in establishing and maintaining high safety and QA/QC standards, conduct safety meetings, and investigate any safety incidents.
  • Communication: Generate meeting agendas/minutes, ensure timely and accurate distribution, and communicate with city officials, OSHA, and inspectors.
  • Project Coordination: Assist in performing the project's daily report and monthly man-hours report, and manage the jobsite in the absence of the Site Manager.
Requirements
  • Education: Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, and a minimum of 2 years of related construction experience, or 4+ years of relevant construction experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Skills: Basic computer skills, including the ability to utilize Microsoft applications, tablets, and smartphones.
  • Personal Qualities: Strong work ethic, energetic, self-motivated, and a passion for collaboration and professional development.
