About the Role:

This internship is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the construction process, from bidding to final completion. As a Construction Intern, you will assist project teams in managing construction projects, including all phases. You will work closely with experienced professionals to develop your skills and knowledge in construction management.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist project teams in managing construction projects, including all phases
  • Conduct quantity take-off, layout, and preconstruction/as-built surveys
  • Review and approve shop drawings, submittals, and requests for information (RFIs)
  • Interfacing with subcontractors and suppliers
  • Attend weekly progress meetings and assist with coordinating work between the owner, architect, and subcontractors
  • Assist with reviewing construction documents and specifications
  • Assist with maintaining field records and performing costing, scheduling, estimating, and project management
  • Punchlist and project closeout
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Familiarity with construction software, including Primavera and Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Relocation to remote sites may be required
