Position Overview

SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are seeking a skilled SharePoint Specialist/Administrator to design and support tailored and standard SharePoint solutions. The SharePoint Specialist/Architect will oversee the overall development, support, and maintenance of our Enterprise SharePoint environment(s), including the Corporate Intranet platform (SP Online). This role necessitates knowledge and experience with various SharePoint versions, including SharePoint 2010, 2016, 2019, and Office 365/SP Online. The immediate requirement is for expertise in SPFx and migration planning and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop solutions using SharePoint 2019/SP Online, including the creation of custom SPFx applications.

• Plan and manage the SharePoint application development life cycle, including architecture, construction, implementation, packaging, and deployment.

• Utilize SharePoint Framework (SPFx) to develop custom applications.

• Demonstrate proficiency in NodeJS, NPM, HTML5, JavaScript, JSON, React, Typescript, CSS, SQL, and responsive design.

• Understand API creation using NodeJS and deployment of solutions.

• Establish and refine best practices, standards, and guidelines for the architecture, management, and utilization of SharePoint solutions.

• Create custom forms and workflows utilizing Nintex.

• Troubleshoot and resolve SharePoint-related issues.

• Provide SharePoint support and training for end-users.

• Serve as the technical lead/advisor for SharePoint initiatives.

• Use SPFx to design websites with out-of-the-box features, UI extensions, page layouts, themes, and display templates.

• Code pages using HTML5, JavaScript, Typescript, jQuery, CSS, SQL, Bootstrap, or responsive design for various devices.

• Create web parts, lists/libraries, content types, site columns, master pages, search navigation, permissions, and data management.

• Lead migration activities from SharePoint 2010/2016 using Sharegate.

• Possess expertise in building and/or maintaining collaboration sites.

Minimum Qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Business Administration, Economics/Statistics, Telecommunications, Data Communications, or a related field; and
2. Five (5) years of progressive, responsible experience in data processing, computer systems, and applications.
3. Comprehensive knowledge and expertise in the characteristics of computers, peripheral devices, communications systems, programming languages, E.D.P. applications, systems analysis methodology, and data management techniques; or
4. A satisfactory equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.

Department Preferences:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher with 5-8 years of experience in SharePoint technologies.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of extensive SharePoint experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Expertise in implementing, configuring, and testing solutions.
  • Technical background in SharePoint development.
  • Knowledge of IT architecture, infrastructure, security, and cloud development.
  • Advanced understanding of the full application development life cycle and associated technologies.
  • Preferred three years of experience in a SharePoint developer role using SharePoint 2019 and SharePoint Online/O365.
  • Preferred three years of experience developing web parts (SPFx) and UI extensions.
  • Experience creating SharePoint out-of-the-box applications or collaborative tools.
  • Experience in SharePoint framework and hybrid environments.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, multitask, and manage time efficiently.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with NodeJS, NPM, HTML5, JavaScript, JSON, React, Typescript, CSS, SQL, responsive design, SPFx.
  • Ability to be flexible, resourceful, organized, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of the SDLC process, unit testing, and deployment.
  • Ability to document code thoroughly.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and adapt to change.
