Position Overview

SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are seeking a skilled SharePoint Specialist/Administrator to design and support tailored and out-of-the-box SharePoint solutions. The SharePoint Specialist/Architect will oversee the overall construction, support, and maintenance of our Enterprise SharePoint environment(s), including the Corporate Intranet platform (SP Online). This role necessitates knowledge and experience with various SharePoint versions, including SharePoint 2010, 2016, 2019, and Office 365/SP Online. The immediate requirement is for expertise in SPFx and migration planning and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop SharePoint 2019/SP Online solutions, including the creation of custom SPFx applications.

• Plan, architect, construct, implement, package, and deploy SharePoint applications throughout their development life cycle.

• Utilize SharePoint Framework (SPFx) to create custom applications within SharePoint.

• Demonstrate proficiency in NodeJS, NPM, HTML5, JavaScript, JSON, React, Typescript, CSS, SQL, and responsive design.

• Understand API creation using NodeJS and deployment of solutions.

• Establish and refine best practices, standards, and guidelines for the architecture, management, and utilization of SharePoint solutions.

• Construct custom forms and workflows utilizing Nintex.

• Troubleshoot and resolve SharePoint-related issues.

• Provide SharePoint support and training for end-users.

• Serve as the technical lead/advisor for SharePoint initiatives.

• Employ SharePoint Framework (SPFx) to design website layouts using OOTB, UI extensions, page layouts, themes, and display templates.

• Code pages using HTML5, JavaScript, Typescript, jQuery, CSS, SQL, Bootstrap, or responsive design for all devices.

• Create web parts, lists/libraries, content types, site columns, master pages, search navigation, permissions, and data management.

• Lead migration activities from SharePoint 2010/2016 using Sharegate.

• Exhibit expertise in building and/or maintaining collaboration sites.

Minimum Qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Business Administration, Economics/Statistics, Telecommunications, Data Communications, or a related field; and
2. Five (5) years of progressive, responsible experience in data processing, computer systems, and applications.
3. Comprehensive knowledge and expertise in computer characteristics, peripheral devices, communication systems, programming languages, E.D.P. applications, systems analysis methodologies, and data management techniques; or
4. A satisfactory equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.

Department Preferences:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher with 5-8 years of experience in SharePoint technologies.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of extensive SharePoint experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Expertise in implementing, configuring, and testing solutions.
  • Technical background in SharePoint development.
  • Knowledge of IT architecture, infrastructure, security, and cloud development.
  • Advanced understanding of the full application development life cycle and associated technologies.
  • Preferred experience of 3 years in a SharePoint developer role using SharePoint 2019 and SharePoint Online/O365.
  • Preferred experience of 3 years developing web parts (SPFx) and UI extensions.
  • Experience in creating SharePoint out-of-the-box applications or collaborative tools.
  • Experience in SharePoint framework, building sites in hybrid environments, and administration.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, multitask, and manage time efficiently.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with NodeJS, NPM, HTML5, JavaScript, JSON, React, Typescript, CSS, SQL, responsive design, and SPFx.
  • Flexibility, resourcefulness, and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of the SDLC process, unit testing, and deployment from DEV to PROD.
  • Ability to document code thoroughly.
  • Collaborative mindset and adaptability to change.
