Daikin Applied is on the lookout for a Sales Engineer. In this pivotal role, you will play a key part in fostering business growth and managing projects while ensuring that both customer needs and Daikin Applied's objectives are met. Position Type: Hybrid role within the market

Key Responsibilities:
  • Generate sales orders by engaging with mechanical contractors, developers, end users, and general contractors.
  • Ensure the achievement of new equipment sales growth and profit objectives.
  • Collaborate with consultants to promote Daikin product features and benefits through design specifications.
  • Meet sales quotas and execute annual sales plans while consistently closing sales on a monthly basis.
  • Plan and execute sales activities to maximize selling time and minimize travel, while creating new business opportunities through organized prospecting.
  • Develop short-term and long-term project plans through effective customer engagement and collaboration with other Sales Engineers and teams.
  • Regularly follow up on open bid opportunities and coordinate with the sales team to refine overall sales strategies.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of competitive products and pricing, applying economic considerations to projects.
  • Conduct financial analyses of equipment benefits and present life cycle costs to influence the sales process.
  • Perform take-offs from plans and specifications, prepare estimates, and write proposals utilizing Daikin Applied equipment advantages.
  • Coordinate with the operations team to prepare and submit technical data for approval, reviewing all submittals and orders prior to processing.
  • Oversee order entry and execution in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Provide post-sale service to customers during installation to ensure satisfaction and foster future business opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant sales experience.
  • Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Willingness to travel frequently.
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar sales tracking software.
  • Prior experience in creating sales proposals, quotes, and reviewing contracts.
  • Proven track record of sales success.
