We're seeking a High-Performance Sales Consultant to join our team, driving revenue growth and market position through strategic sales initiatives.
About the Role:
- Improve MSC's market position and achieve revenue growth within Mid-Market customers ($200,000-$5,000,000 potential)
- Assigned portfolio of $2M -$4M in annual revenue with Mid-Market customers in the penetration stage of their lifecycle
- Collaborate with internal teams and managers to increase sales opportunities and maximize revenue
- Utilize account planning tools, prescriptive analytics, and research from marketing to educate customers on MSC's differentiated solutions
Responsibilities:
- Offer unique perspectives and insights to key customers, reframing their view of their business and educating them on new issues and outcomes
- Drive two-way communication by engaging customers, creating tension, and delivering insight convincingly and with authority
- Leverage individual value drivers by understanding and influencing customer stakeholders, developing strategies for engagement, and linking supplier capabilities to specific objectives
- Incorporate economic drivers by demonstrating knowledge of customer businesses, industry trends, and market climate, making informed inferences about customer businesses based on market understanding
- Establish value before ROI/financial terms by qualifying and quantifying the impact of maintaining the status quo or pursuing competitors' solutions
- Drive momentum by advancing purchase decisions without rushing customers, rallying internal resources, and collaborating with customers to define next steps
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Industrial Distribution, Manufacturing, or equivalent experience required
- 2+ years of demonstrated success in B2B sales preferred, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Salesforce.com
- Ability to teach customers something new and compelling about their business, create constructive tension, tailor messaging and presentations, take control of purchasing processes, align stakeholders, and drive consensus to MSC solutions
Salary Range: $78,050 - $111,500 per year (Base + Commission), depending on experience.
