Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Medical/Surgical Unit at Mercy Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, identify learning needs, and provide individualized teaching to promote patient empowerment.
  • Administer medications safely and effectively, adhering to state and hospital policies and procedures.
  • Serve as a patient safety advocate, participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
Requirements
  • Current RN license in the state of employment or compact state.
  • BLS Basic Life Support certification (required upon hire).
  • ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (preferred).
  • Medical-Surgical Nursing Certification RN-BC (Registered Nurse - Board Certified) (preferred).
  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred).
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads. You may be exposed to physical altercations and verbal abuse, as well as limited hazardous substances or body fluids.
