We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team at Bon Secours Mercy Health. As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will play a critical role in evaluating the heart's function and diagnosing cardiac conditions using advanced ultrasound technology.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic echocardiography examinations using ultrasound testing equipment to evaluate the heart's structure and function.
- Conduct non-invasive and invasive cardiac exams, including Transthoracic Echocardiography, Transesophageal Echocardiography, and Cardiac Stress testing.
- Prepare and monitor patients before and during procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Utilize the hospital's electronic medical record to review patient information and document critical findings.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Associates degree in an applied health science field with a concentration in cardiovascular technology, ultrasonography, or a related field.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Credentialed in echocardiography by a recognized organization, such as the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
- Minimum one year of experience as a Cardiac Sonographer, with EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS) experience preferred.
