At Prisma Health, we're dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and advancing the field of cardiac sonography. As a Cardiac Sonographer Sr., you'll play a vital role in our team, utilizing your expertise to provide high-quality echocardiography services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide range of echocardiography exams, including pediatric and adult patients, using advanced ultrasound equipment and software.
  • Utilize independent judgment to differentiate between normal and abnormal findings, ensuring accurate and thorough exams.
  • Rotate to multiple lab locations, participating in daily workflow and scheduling exams through the transport system as needed.
  • Operate and maintain lab testing equipment, software, and office equipment, reporting any issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Attend staff and departmental meetings, staying up-to-date on changes in the field and participating in educational conferences.
  • Obtain and maintain a second credential in the echo modality, regularly performing both modalities.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree from a formal Radiology or Sonography program.
  • 3 years of Cardiac Sonography experience, with consideration given to clinical rotations during a formal educational program.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ARDMS RDCS (AE) or CCI (RCS) certification.
  • ARDMS RDCS (PE) or CCI (ACS) certification.
