Job Summary:

A Cardiac Sonographer/Echocardiographer is a credentialed medical professional with academic and clinical experience to use imaging technology to help physicians diagnose heart problems in patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate ultrasound equipment to provide moving 2-D or 3-D images of the heart and its chambers.
  • Perform echocardiograms and other cardiac ultrasound procedures.
  • Collaborate with physicians to diagnose and treat heart conditions.
  • Develop and maintain a high level of technical expertise in cardiac ultrasound imaging.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or higher (or equivalent)
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Current ARDMS (RDCS or RVT) or CCI (RSC) registration/certification
  • 8 years of experience as Cardiac and/or Vascular Sonographer
Work Environment:

Lab hours of operation 6:00am - 7:00pm. Variable shifts will be discussed for weekday coverage needs. 8, 10 or 12 hour shifts may be required.
